The Growth is Life program is designed to inspire its students, both young and young at heart, the tactical skills in survival and environmental awareness. These life changing skills allow for all program graduates to enhance their development in legacy knowledge transfer.
Bayou Coastal And MarshLand Fishing Program
(Ages 10 -17)
June 13, 2022 - July 22, 2024
Graduation July 30, 2024
Bayou Coastal and MarshLand Fishing Program is a 6 week program with a fun filled curriculum about water and
boating safety, fishing, maritime jobs, water ways, weather and the history of the Louisiana fishing
industry. Learn basic bait rigging, knot tying, casting, and fish identification with a seasoned instructor. All equipment provided; no experience necessary.
Tactical Training & Survival Skills
(Fall 2025)
Go off the grid and learn the basics of shelter building, fire building and water purification in this hands-on class. Learn what's safe to eat in the wild and plants we can use for medicine, learn to use a compass, mark territory as reminders for safe places. Learn what animals to stay away from. What to pack in your tactical bags and the importance of knowing weight limits for carrying and climbing.
Archery Lessons
(Fall 2025)
A certified archery instructor will always be on hand, providing thorough safety instructions and plenty of tips about technique and form.
Water Technology Camp
(Spring 2025)
When water meets technology, there is INNOVATION! Come and join us for this exciting opportunity in career exploration with our Water Technology Camp! Students will receive hands on training to gear them into career pathways in advanced water technology skills.
Kid Saver
A certified instructor will always be present, offering clear safety guidance and hands-on tips to help kids learn the right techniques with confidence and care.
